PLASTER WAALA - 916

ECO WHITE PLASTER

Geo polymer based Plaster & Construction Mortar

Poljo PLASTERWAALA – 916 is a polymer modified geo polymer cementitious coarse Level Plaster for higher wall undulations and construction mortar between bricks or blocks. Poljo PLASTERWAALA – 916 is a pre blended and require only addition of water in order to achieve a workable consistency mix.

Basic Use Poljo’s ECO PLASTER DRY READY MIX

formulated and manufactured to give a white plasterand a thin line masonary bonding mortar for use inbrick, clay tiles, various types of blocks, fibre cementboards and stone masonry construction. Highly suitable for interior & exterior plaster, including stone plaster, rendering & stucco to get crack resistant, weather resistant, impact resistant and
easily bondable waterproof white plaster.

Applications

Good workmanship principles are required for successful application, including proper filling of head and bed joints, careful placement of units, appropriate tooling of the joint, modification of construction procedures and/or schedules to adapt to extreme weather conditions and proper cleaning procedures. Masonry joints should be tooled at the
same degree of stiffness and moisture. If joints are tooled too early, excess water will be drawn to the surface, producing lighter joints. The joints will appear dark and dis-colored if tooling is done after stiffening has started. So add only the necessary amount of water for easy working. Do not add more

Advantages

Quality controlled premixed wall polymer plaster
Excellent adhesion to various substrates like brick, concrete, ash block and similar mineral materials.
White colour gives enhanced beauty and easy finish
Excellent Weather, UV,Chloride & Slime resistance
Pre blended and packed for ease, just add water
Polymers and specialty minerals enhance bonding
Convenient handling & improved workability
High resistance to water ingress after setting
Never forms shrink cracks even with higher thickness
Reduces 95 % of water requirement with no wastage
Excellent impact strength & flexural bond strength.

Composition and Materials

Poljo’S ECO PLASTER DRY READY MIX consists of a mixture of blended hydraulic cements and plasticizing materials such as hydraulic lime, polymers together with other materials introduced to enhance all the properties of a conventional plastering, rendering or construction mortar. These components are proportioned at our dry ready-mix plant under controlled conditions to assure batch to batch product consistency. No need to add any other ingredients at site except clean water to get the required consistency. Retempering can be done with addition of water to get a workable consistency. Do not mix more than what can be consumed within two hours to get excellent performance & properties.

Health and Safety

All the cementitious mortars and slurries mixed with water release alkalis which can be harmful to theskin. During use, avoid inhalation of dust and contact with skin and eyes. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves, eye protection and respiratory protective equipment. The use of barrier creams provide additional skin protection. In case of contact with skin, rinse with plenty of clean water, then cleanse with soap and water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advise.

PROPERTIES & DURABILITY

Properties of Poljo’S ECO WHITE PLASTER DRY READYMIX related to its durability include:

High yield with low density: Gives nearly 30% more finished volume than equal weight Cement with M sand mix, due to its low density and particle size grading
Resistance to freeze-thaw deterioration: Airentrainment levels of 12 percent to provide effective resistance to freeze-thaw deterioration.
Drying shrinkage characteristics: Drying shrinkage is about half of Cement with M sand mix. Hence no shrinkage or curing cracks.
Resistance to sulphate & Chloride attack: Significantly greater sulphate and Chloride resistance than Cement with M sand mix.
Water Retention during curing is about 70% more than Cement M sand mix. Hence less or no water requirement for curing.
High flexural strength and flexural bonding with substrate when compared to Cement with M sand. Hence excellent Weather ability
High compressive strength when compared to the equal cost mixture of Cement with M sand mix. Hence long life and durability
Self curing: does not require frequent water curing like Cement with M sand mix.
Superior water-proofing & water permeance characteristics. The properties of Poljo'S ECO LASTER DRY READYMIX assure the watertight masonry construction.

PLASTER WAALA – 919 LW

ECO WHILE PLASTER LW

Geo polymer based Plaster – Light Weight

Poljo’s Plaster Waala 919 – LW DRY READY MIX is specially formulated and manufactured to produce light weight, highly insulative acoustics masonry plaster for use over brick, clay tiles, various types of blocks, fibre cement boards and stone masonry construction. Plaster Waala 919 – LW is suitable as an interior & exterior plaster, to get crack resistant, weather resistant, impact resistant, easily bondable, light weight, insulating and water-proofing plaster.

Composition and Materials

Poljo’s Plaster Waala 919 – LW DRY READY MIX consists of a mixture of blended hydraulic binders and plasticizing materials such as geo polymer components, hydraulic lime, alumino silica, coated organic polymer granules together with other materials introduced to enhance all the properties of a conventional plastering. These components are proportioned at our dry ready-mix plant under controlled conditions to assure batch to batch product consistency. No need to add any other ingredients at site except clean water to get the required consistency. Re-tempering can be done with addition of water to get a workable consistency. Do not mix more than what can be consumed within two hours to get excellent properties.

Advantage over other types of light weight plasters:

Poljo’s Plaster Waala 919 – LW DRY READY MIX is produced as an excellent heat and acoustic insulation plaster to replace the conventional glass beads based and perlite based friable plastering materials with very high water requirement to prepare the plaster and to cure it. The water requirement is less than 30% when compared to other insulating plasters. This ensures ease of application and less porosity on the plastering. Further it is available at an affordable cost with superior properties than other conventional LW plasters.

Comparison with conventional 1 : 5 Cement Sand plaster.

High yield with low density: Gives nearly 60% more finished volume than equal weight Cement with M sand mix, due to its low density and particle size grading.
esistance to freeze-thaw deterioration: Airentrainment levels of 12 percent to provide effective resistance to freeze-thaw deterioration.
Drying shrinkage characteristics: Drying shrinkage is about half of Cement with M sand mix.
Resistance to sulphate attack: Significantly greater sulphate resistance than Cement with M sand mix
Water Retention during curing is about 70% more than Cement M sand mix. Hence no water requirement for curing.
High flexural strength and flexural bonding with substrate when compared to Cement with M sand.
High compressive strength when compared to the equal cost mixture of Cement with M sand mix.
Superior water-proofing & water permeance characteristics. The properties of Poljo's Plaster Waala 919 - LW DRY READYMIX assure the watertight masonry construction

Application Procedure

Good workmanship principles need to be followed like other LW plaster application for successful results.. Add only the necessary amount of water for easy working. Do not add more. The mix can be retempered if required with more water. Do not apply in extreme weather conditions and proper cleaning procedures need to be followed. The normal plaster thickness is 15 to 20 mm. If higher thickness is required due to wall condition or to match any architectural specification, apply in two stages each time not exceeding 20 mm thickness of plaster. All the normal plastering techniques are suitable and no need for water curing. Subsequent wall finishes can be applied after 72 hours.
